Extensive off–piste opportunities and a great choice of pistes make this a very popular area for boarders of all abilities. With the majority of runs above tree level, the trails in Tignes are wide and bordered by easily accessible off-piste terrain. For those who buy the Espace Killy lift ticket, the backside of Col de Fresse in the Val d'Isère section supplies a natural off-piste terrain park. For experienced boarders there are ample treks and traverses leading to intense chutes and powder fields well worth hiking for.

If you have an Espace Killy lift pass the Valpark in the Bellevarde/La Daille sector of nearby Val d'Isère is also well worth a visit.

There are several ski schools offering tuition in snowboarding including
